Alan Jackson and Jon Pardi Pair for ‘Chattahoochee’ at 2018 ACM Awards

Alan Jackson performed his legendary hit "Chattahoochee" with a little help from Jon Pardi at the 2018 ACM Awards in Las Vegas, Nev., on Sunday night (April 15). Jackson is a three-time Male Vocalist of the Year winner and Pardi was 2017's ACM New Male Vocalist of the Year (and also earned a nomination for Album of the Year in 2018).

Pardi introduced the song, before turning it over to Jackson and the band for the opening verse. Pardi took over the second verse, and the two came together to sing the chorus and traded lines to bring the song to its close.

Jackson, beloved by fans and fellow artists, has made waves at the ACMs in previous years: He's veered off script in gentle protest of production decisions. "Chattahoochee" is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2018; Jackson and Pardi's performance of the song was part of the "ACM Flashbacks" series.

This year's "ACM Flashbacks" performances teamed up an iconic country singer and a modern hitmaker to honor a few of country music's greatest songs. Other performances set for the 2018 ACM Awards were Reba McEntire and her daughter-in-law Kelly Clarkson singing "Does He Love You" and Toby Keith and Blake Shelton performing Keith's 1993 hit "Should've Been a Cowboy."
