Young Golfers in Amarillo, Texas Can Play the Courses for Just $5
One of the great things about Amarillo is the access to golf courses. A pastime in the Yellow City is golf. On any given day, the greens are filled with golfers cruising the paths in their carts, ready to play the nines.
I'll be honest, I have never played golf unless you count miniature golf, but I have many friends who do play. Most of those friends began teaching their kids how to play at a young age.
These days, more and more kids are following in their parents' footsteps and picking up the sport of golf. Amarillo offers many options for kids who want to tee off and have some fun.
Where Can Kids Play Golf in Amarillo?
Kids can play golf at all courses in the area, but most require those under 18 years of age to be accompanied by an adult.
Golf can be quite an expensive pastime once you factor in all the fees. However, most offer lower rates for junior golfers than adult golfers. However, there is a new program offering kids the chance to play for just $5.
Bank of America has just kicked off its Golf with Us initiative. They have teamed up with Youth on Course to give kids 6-18 years of age a chance to play golf for just $5 a round.
What is Youth On Course?
Youth on Course is an organization that provides youth from all walks of life and backgrounds opportunities through golf.
Over the year's golf has been seen as a sport for the rich because of the costs associated with the game. However, Youth on Course is trying to make golf accessible to everyone, and by getting kids involved in the sport at a younger age, it opens up many opportunities.
