Halloween Horror Movies Are Back on the Big Screen: ‘Twilight,’ ‘Scream’ and ‘Halloween’
It's spooky season, and if you are anything like me, your viewing habits have changed, and you're starting to add a lot of spooky, scary, and mind-blowing horror to your schedule. That seems to be a big part of the Halloween season. Supernatural, horror, and downright scary movies. There is a place in Amarillo that is helping you with all of that and then some for $6.
Where Can You Watch the 'Twilight Saga' in Amarillo?
First of all, let's look at the supernatural, you know, sparkly vampires and werewolves. I'm talking about the "Twilight Saga." It's been 21 years since the first "Twilight" book was released.
I, along with the rest of the world, fell in love with these books to the point that I've probably read the series at least four times.
Then in 2008, the first movie adaptation of "Twilight" was released in theaters. Let's face it, the production value could've been better, but the love of Bella, Edward, and Jacob and the Twilight fandom was so huge that the movie was going to be a hit. It was, pulling in $69.6 million domestically in its opening weekend and over $400 million worldwide.
As part of spooky season, Cinergy is hosting the "Twilight Saga" on the big screen Wednesdays through November 11. Catch one each week, and on November 11, they'll offer a Cinergized version of "Breaking Dawn Part 2." They will have a limited-time "Twilight" food and drink menu. Tickets for the "Twilight Saga" are only $6.

What Horror Movies Are Playing at Cinergy Amarillo for Halloweekend?
Now let's get into the horror aspect. Cinergy is busting out the classics and will be showing the following during Halloweekend:
- October 30: "Scream" 30th Anniversary Screening.
- October 30: Slasher Screening of "Halloween H20."
- October 31: Breakfast Screening of "The Nightmare Before Christmas."
Why 'Scream" and 'Halloween' Still Belong on Your Halloweekend List
If you were around in the '90s when "Scream" was first released, it was the movie that revived the horror movie genre. Ghostface became a thing, and he, along with "Scream," has found a place in our culture. I, again, was at the theater on opening weekend, so I could get a good scream.
You can't have a Halloweekend without a screening of at least one of the "Halloween" movies. Can you end Halloween and start November without watching "The Nightmare Before Christmas"? Of course not.

Mark your calendars if sparkly vampires are your thing or if you love a good horror movie. This is one month you don't want to miss out on.
