
Hoodoo Mural Festival Returns to Amarillo With a Bold New Backdrop
Amarillo, Texas, has many great events, but one of the events that brings brightness, happiness, and culture is back again for 2025, but with some changes.
This event that brings beautiful art to downtown Amarillo is getting ready for another great year of new murals.
Amarillo's Hoodoo Mural Festival Announces Date for 2025 Event
The first Hoodoo Mural Festival was in 2019 in downtown Amarillo. In 2019, we saw 6 new murals pop up in the heart of Amarillo by Malcom Byers, Emily Ding, Sandra Fettings, Ms. Yellow, DTOX, and a local collab.

Ever since the first festival, at least four new murals have been installed in Amarillo's downtown each year except 2020, and each year, they are celebrated with a music festival downtown.
What Changes Are Coming to the Hoodoo Mural Festival in 2025?
The Hoodoo Mural Festival recently announced a big change for this year on its Facebook page. This year, the festival will move from downtown Amarillo to Arts in the Sunset on Plains Blvd.
Hoodoo Mural Festival will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, in Amarillo
It makes some sense to move an art-focused event to an art-focused venue. If you have never stepped foot inside Arts in the Sunset. This is your cue to go and check out the amazing art in this amazing institution.

The announcement didn't mention whether the murals would remain in downtown Amarillo this year, or start moving around the Arts in the Sunset or other locations in the Yellow City.
The Hoodoo Mural Festival is now accepting applications from muralists, musicians, and vendors for this year's event.
