Changes are Brewing: Amarillo’s Favorite Boba Spot has a New Owner

A popular place in Amarillo for boba or bubble tea is getting a new owner.  This owner is someone you just might know, love, and miss.

Leaf and Bubble Tea company was the brainchild of Brooke Skypaula and Anna Hogue who met in 2018.  They came together with a love of boba and opened Leaf and Bubble Tea Co.  It got its start in 2019 at the Amarillo Community Market.  That same year they opened up a store at Westminster at 2525 Wimberly Road.  In June 2022, they opened their new location in The Shops at 34th, 4137 SW 34th.

Changes Are Coming to Leaf and Bubble!

Starting on Saturday, February 1, 2025, Leaf and Bubble Tea Co. will have a new owner.  However, you don't need to worry it will still be your favorite tea shop.   Plus the new owner is a familiar face and name, Patty Schniederjan.  Now if that name sounds familiar it should.  Patty has been a local business owner in Amarillo and opened The Acai Bar in Amarillo in 2016 as a booth at the Amarillo Community Market, and soon opened up the shop at 34th and Coulter.  In October 2022, it was announced that she had sold the business to Stephan and Tawni Coleman.

Will the New Leaf and Bubble have Food?

However, the love of serving up delicious food and great customer service to the Amarillo Community hasn't left Patty and she has missed it.  She will now continue the legacy of the Leaf and Bubble Tea Co.  Again, she plans to keep it a tea shop, and she'll also bring her special touch to the establishment.   That touch includes food, she plans on expanding the tea shop into a cafe serving up some great food and health fare.

Also along with the new menus and food, you can expect Leaf and Bubble to have longer hours. Which include earlier hours on the weekdays and on Saturdays to serve up great bubble tea and breakfast!
