Rumors of Closure Are Wrong: Amarillo Market Relocates This Weekend
We are getting closer and closer to the summer farmers markets opening in the Amarillo area. However, a few of those markets have already opened and have been open since the spring.
The Amarillo Market opened in April in their new location in the southeast portion of the parking lot at Ashley Furniture on Western. The market started with a few vendors, and by Memorial Day Weekend, they had expanded with more vendors. However, we shared a reel on our Facebook page of the market over Memorial Day Weekend, and some of the comments shocked us because some people said the market was closing.
That was shocking because it had just rebranded from the River Falls Market and moved inside the city limits.
Amarillo Market is Not Closing
I reached out to the Amarillo Market to clarify and asked: "Are you closing?" The answer was no. The Amarillo Market is not closing, but they are relocating. Due to things outside their control, they were forced to move. We heard the property owner is leasing the area for semi-truck parking.
Luckily, you won't have to go far, because they are moving down the street on Western.

What Vendors and Products Can You Expect at The Amarillo Market?
Make plans to check them out this Saturday. They have many great vendors, including baked goods, like jalapeno cheddar sourdough bread and strawberry jalapeno croissants, salsa like Smoke Hatch green chile, and beautifully designed knives and jewelry. It's a great way to spend a Saturday morning.
