Amarillo Police Need Help In Identifying Hit and Run Suspect

A hit and run to place in Amarillo on Friday, December 17th at 11:57am. APD needs your help in identifying a suspect.

Twenty-eight year old Mohammad Edris Mohammadi, was riding north in the right hand lane near 16th and Georgia when he was hit by a vehicle. The suspect fled the scene. Mohammadi was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. Mohammad succumbed to his injuries on Monday, December 20th.

The suspect is possibly driving a white 2010-2013 Toyota 4-Runner SR5/Limited. The SUV will have damage to the front left side. It is also missing part of the front left bumper including a left fog lamp cover or trim. It is also missing the plastic cover over the front of the driver's side mirror

Amarillo On 'America's Most Wanted'

I was surprised to find out recently that we also have a bit of a history with the show America's Most Wanted.

Digging through old news articles, I found several separate occasions where Amarillo and America's Most Wanted crossed paths. It makes me wonder if there are some that I've missed.
