Amarillo has made national news on more than one occasion and most of the time it was not anything good.  There has always been something bad occurring in Amarillo making national news.

The people of the Yellow City have been notorious for doing some insane things leaving a history of craziness.   Imagine what the Amarillo landscape would look like without these many scandals.  Would we stand out on a map or would Amarillo be this dot on I-40 or just a name in a song?

Are Scandals a Good Thing?

Even though it's never a good thing to have scandals, some scandals put Amarillo on the map.  What the world has learned about Amarillo is, don't tick off a bunch of cattlemen if you are a talk show host, Amarillo is a great place for trials, don't date multiple people or you will be called out and it's probably not a good idea to keep a live kangaroo.

With all the scandals that have rocked our community, Amarillo is still a great place to live and raise a family.  Many of these incidents have been embarrassing, but Amarillo has overcome and learned from its mistakes, or at least tried to learn from past mistakes.
