Last week the state added to this list. Teachers were given the green light along with those in the education field such as those who work in head start programs, daycares and bus drivers when the CDC and Federal Government made a change in eligibility.

Starting Monday however, another group of Texans can get ready to roll up their sleeves, known as group 1C This group includes those who are ages 50 through 64 and aren't already part of a previous immunization group.

The city is offering the clinic free of charge at the North Exhibit Hall of the Amarillo Convention Center with no appointments taken since everything is done on a walk in basis. as far as shots go after someone gets the first dose of the Moderna Vaccine administered on site, they will need to return within 28 days to get the second booster for full immunity. for those needing a lift the city is offering free rides via Amarillo City Transit to the civic center.
