This Grocery Store was Named the Best in Texas
Texas is a big state and when it comes to shopping for groceries, Texans have a lot of places to choose to shop.
Grocery shopping is one of those things that has to be done, and when people are shopping they have a lot of factors in choosing their store. For instance, are the prices cheaper, do I have to scan and bag my own groceries, and is it close to my house?
Texas has all the major grocery chains, Kroger, HEB, Walmart, Sam's, Costco, Albertsons, United Supermarkets, Aldi, etc.
What is the best grocery store in Texas?
The answer is HEB.
HEB was named the best grocery store in Texas by Daily Meal. HEB was chosen because of their platters as well as classic Texas foods like kolaches, jumbo buttermilk biscuits, and Whataburger condiments.
We would be remiss not to mention That Green Sauce and their butter tortillas are the best.
Daily Meal conducted a study and included brick-and-mortar grocers, local markets, supermarkets, membership-only warehouse clubs, and nationwide department store retailers that have supermarkets within their retail locations. Convenience stores, delis, farmers markets, and technology-based shops like Peapod were not considered.
The criteria they looked at were the stock, innovation, value, and what they contribute to the community.
Not every big city in Texas is blessed enough to have an HEB, the store is currently not in the Texas Panhandle, but those in the Amarillo area hope one day they will venture into the Yellow City. However, until then, many travel to the HEB in Lubbock to shop.
HEB has reigned supreme for a very long time as the best place to shop for groceries in Texas.
Who do we beg to get them in the Texas Panhandle?
