WalletHub conducted a survey to find the Top 100 cities for Pets in the United States. They looked at 23 key metrics to determine which cities were best for pets. Irving - #11 for Texas and #99 overall

Garland - #9 for Texas and #99 overall
San Antonio - #8 for Texas and #99 overall
Corpus Christi - #7 for Texas and #99 overall
Corpus Christi has some of the lowest veterinary costs in the country.
Ft. Worth - #6 for Texas and #99 overall
Houston - #5 for Texas and #99 overall
El Paso - #4 for Texas and #99 overall
Plano - #3 for Texas and #99 overall
Austin - #2 for Texas and #99 overall
Austin has the most dog-friendly restaurants per capita

Lubbock - #1 for Texas and #27 overall
You would think that a bigger city would be higher on the list. However that isn't the case, so if you have a pet in Lubbock, they are in a great city.
Texas is a great state full of amazing pets. It's great to see that we have some of the most pet-friendly cities in the US.
