I know a lot of people were hoping that actor and Texan Matthew McConaughey would be running for Governor. However, on Sunday, November 28th he posted a video of why he would not be running for the position.
Many hearts broke with this announcement because we would not be able to say Governor McConaughey, all right, all right, all right.
Candidates seeking the seat of Governor have until December 13, to file for their candidacy. The list of candidates for Governor just might grow.
The primary election will take place on March 1, 2022, with the General Election taking place on November 8, 2022.
