The stretch of VFW Road between Amarillo and Canyon used to be a popular shortcut for many people. However, over the past 10 years, it has seen the development of numerous new neighborhoods. In the last 5 years, various businesses have also started to emerge along that stretch.

For the longest time, Pak-A-Sak was the lone store at FM 2219 and VFW, but then Toot 'n Totum popped up, a storage/office space, a bank, several store strips including a nail salon, an O'Reilly's, and a couple of restaurants.

The one thing missing from the area was a great place to get coffee.  Yeah, you can get coffee at one of the convenience stores, but a really good fancy cup of coffee was miles away.  Now that all has ended.
