Street Tacos are one of my personal favorites and any chance I get to try a new place and get some really good street tacos I do.  I have tried several places and several food trucks in Amarillo that serve up street tacos, and I'll have to admit,

Canelo's Taqueria food truck is a must-try!

There is just something about the right mix of asada, cilantro, and onions.  Plus there is something they do with their corn tortillas that make it so darn delicious.

They have other great items on their menu as well.  They offer a delicious chimichanga, my fella always orders this and he always has enough leftover for lunch the next day.

My son always gets the quesadilla and he tells me it's the best quesadilla and always wants to eat at the orange taco truck.

Canelo's also offers up Quesabirrias and Birria Ramen. Plus their asada fries are some of the best we've ever eaten.

Don't even get me started on their salsa.

Okay, do get me started on their salsa, it makes your heart sing.  Their red salsa is the perfect mix of heat and smokey flavor, it has the perfect taste you want in a salsa.  Their green salsa is the perfect mix of crisp and tangy, it jazzes up anything you put it on.   In fact, we had leftover salsa from the last time my family ate at Canelo's and that sauce is soooooo good on eggs.

The owners took a vacation for 2 weeks and I must say, my family missed Canelo's.   We had made it a once-per-week staple to enjoy their food.  Two weeks was a lifetime.  You can tell their popularity because not two minutes after opening the parking lot around the truck is full of people wanting Canelo's food.

Are they affordable?

The best thing about Canelo's Taqueria food truck is their prices.  Let's just say three people can eat there for less than $25.  They are truly an affordable place to eat.

You can grab the food and take it home, eat it in your car, or you can sit at one of their shaded picnic tables.

If you are looking for a great street taco, birria, or the best quesadilla you've ever had, you should visit them.
