Friends of the Amarillo Public Library Host 3rd Annual Open Book Festival
Reading is a huge part of our everyday life. At home, we make reading fun for our son and that is what the Friends of the Amarillo Public Library is all about. Saturday, they are hosting their 3rd annual Open Book Festival.
This open book festival is to celebrate Books and Reading, and to raise funds for Library Education Services. There will be a day full of fun activities for the whole family.

Moonrise Picnic Luncheon
Lunch and lecture with Cassandra King, author of Moonrise, Queen of Broken Hearts, Making Waves, and The Same Sweet Girls
A Little Knowledge Trivia Contest – 2 PM
Test your knowledge to win bragging rights and support a great cause!
$50 per team—up to 6 players
Books to Broadway Gala Dinner – 6 PM
Cocktail Hour, Silent Auction, Dinner & Show
Fairy Tales on Broadway – a musical Review of Songs from Broadway Musicals based on Books! Produced by Dr. Robert Hansen, Director of WTAMU School of Music
$50 per Person
It is going to be a lot of fun for everyone. Nothing is more precious than giving your children the gift of reading. Not only will there be tons of stuff to do, but you will be helping out a great cause!
