Turn Sweets into Treats: Halloween Candy Buyback in Amarillo
Halloween was fun, and over last night and the last month your kids have been collecting, pails and pails of candy. Peanut butter cups, Sour Patch Kids, Kit Kats, Twix, Sweedish Fish, Skittles, Hershey's, and the list goes on. It is a never-ending mountain of teeth-rotting goodness and your kids are going to want to eat it all, and you're going to want to steal all the chocolate.
Now that the candy is in your home there is only so much of it you can eat. How do you get rid of it? You don't want to throw it in the trash, because chocolate is expensive and all that candy costs a ton of money. You may not have bought it but the guilt is there for throwing it out.
Here's How to Make Money for Your Halloween Candy!
Amarillo Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics is here to save the day and to save your kid's teeth from all that sugar. It's their annual candy buyback. This will be the 17th year that APDO has been hosting the candy buyback.
Where Can I Take My Halloween Candy?
This year the event will take place on Friday, November 8th from 3 to 6 pm at the APDO in Townsquare Village, 8900 E. Village Square. They will be paying $2 per pound for your Halloween candy for up to 3 pounds.
Not only will they be buying back your candy, but it's also going to be a fun afternoon including face painting with Amadazzle, and Amarillo Crime Stoppers will be making free child safety IDS. Plus food trucks will be on site if you are feeling snacky.
What Happens to All the Candy?
The best part about this Halloween Candy Buyback is all the candy received will be sent to our troops for them to enjoy while they are overseas.
