There are just some things in a smaller town that people have stories about that will follow them to the end of their lives. One of those things is the memories they made in clubs across Amarillo. Hoot's Pub was a fun place to hang and make memories.

Hoot's Pub has been a staple in Amarillo's history for decades. You probably have your own story to tell about Hoot's. You met the love of your life, or the biggest mistake of your life, at Hoots. You saw your favorite singer/band on that stage, and now they are huge stars. Perhaps you got arrested there. Maybe you just missed a step, fell, busted your butt, and embarrassed yourself. While most people thought you’d just had too much to drink, you were perfectly sober.

What’s Going On With Hoot’s Pub?

In early September 2025, it was announced that Hoot’s would have its final curtain call and close its doors. All those memories would soon fade as the building sat empty, and that familiar owl sign weathered away.

However, as soon as the news broke, someone stepped in and said, “No, we’re not ready to let this place fade into memories.

Thankfully, new owners took over on October 1, 2025, and announced their Grand Reopening on social media.

When Is Hoot’s Pub Grand Reopening?

The Hoot’s Pub Grand Reopening happens Friday, October 17, 2025. The pub will now serve draft beer, with happy hour from 4–7 pm featuring $2 wells and $2 domestic pints..

What’s New at Hoot’s Pub Under New Ownership?

They are also hosting Ladies' Night on Friday and bringing back some of their favorite drinks. Bloody B's, Cherry Vodka Sours, Tokyo Teas, Mexican Candy, and Lemon Drops will be $3, and domestic buckets will be $13.

Expect different specials each day of the week, and look for live music to return soon. They’re celebrating their Grand Reopening in a big way.
