Texas Police Cadet Goes Viral for Towering 7’3” Height
A police cadet out of Kemah, Texas, is going viral because of his jaw-dropping height. Standing at 7 feet 3 inches tall, Jordan Wilmore has already become an online sensation before even earning his badge.
Wilmore, who is training at the academy to become a Texas police officer, says serving his community has always been his dream.
"I've always had a desire and a goal to become a police officer. I've honestly just liked to serve the community and help out the ones in need, and need my help out as well," Wilmore explained.
Kemah Police Chief Raymond Garivey Jr. proudly introduced Wilmore to the public, posting a video of the two side by side. Standing just 5'6, the chief looks tiny next to the cadet.
The post has racked up more than 43,000 reactions and thousands of comments, with users amazed by Wilmore’s towering frame. Photos even show him ducking through doorways and struggling to fit into small cars.

Chief Garivey says other agencies have already tried to recruit him.
"I've had several agencies who go and recruit at the academy send me photos of him claiming they're gonna steal him, but he's Kemah proud he's not going anywhere, he's with us," he said.
The Kemah Police Department is already brainstorming patrol car solutions. Some joked Wilmore may need a truck, while the cadet himself laughed that he could use his old Volkswagen Rabbit as a cruiser.
One thing is certain: at 7’3, Jordan Wilmore may be the tallest police officer in America, and his journey is just beginning.
