Carrying The Legacy: The Search For The Next Owner Of Silverland
One of the things you count on about Amarillo are some of the staple businesses of the city are always there. You can always count on them when you need to run by and grab a great gift or a card.
Then, when you find out that maybe one could disappear, you get a little sad. You count on them, and you forget that the one leading the way is living their life too. That life may be to the point that they want to turn the reins over to someone else.
This is certainly the case for Todd Hill at Silverland, who has been a staple in Wolflin Village for 29 years.

Todd is ready to start his next chapter. He and I first discussed this back in December when he visited the station. He told me if I knew anyone who would want to take over Silverland, to let him know. That was the first I had heard of him thinking about retiring.
Reflecting on 29 Years of Silverland
We discussed him wanting to take time for the family, and that it was time. That was the last I had heard about it until he got on social media recently. He is ready, and he is looking for that next perfect person to take over.
Todd Hill’s Message to the Amarillo Community
This is not an easy post to write.
After 29 life altering years, I have made the decision to explore the sale of Silverland.Silverland has been part of Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle for nearly three decades.Through good times and challenging times, you have supported us, encouraged us, and, I believe, made Silverland far more than simply a store.Silverland remains a strong and special business with a recognized name, loyal customers, and tremendous potential for the future. As I look toward the next chapter of my own life, I would love to see Silverland continue under the ownership of someone who appreciates what it has become, would nurture its ministry and sees the great opportunity ahead. If you, or someone you know, may have interest in discussing taking the reins of Silverland, I would welcome a confidential conversation by contacting me through the store.Silverland has been my life’s work, and more fun than I could ever communicate. Thank you Amarillo, for 29 years of friendship and support.
