JOANN Fabrics and Crafts Closing in Amarillo, Across Texas and the US
Last week we reported that JOANN was closing 500 stores, but unfortunately, that 500 just turned into all stores across the country.
JOANN Fabrics Across Texas Will Be Closing
After filing for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy for the second time, 500 of the 800 operating stores were slated to close. According to a post on the JOANN website, GA Group, backed by Oaktree Capital Management, won an auction that allowed them to acquire all the assets of JOANN Fabric and Crafts, and they decided to close all the stores.
We have been proud to serve as a destination for creativity for more than 80 years and thank our dedicated Team Members, customers, and communities across the nation for their decades of support.
Expect to see going-out-of-business sales begin immediately once the sales transaction is court-approved.

Customers will be able to take advantage of special prices during these sales. You will be able to continue to shop at all JOANN stores, online at JOANN.com, and through their app.
If you have rewards or gift cards from JOANN you will need to use those immediately before it is too late.
JOANN has 43 stores in Texas across 35 cities.
For most of these areas in the Lone Star State, customers will still have the option of shopping at Michael's or Hobby Lobby. It may be the time to start shopping locally at local fabric and crafts stores in our Texas cities.
It makes one wonder how many other large corporate stores will start shuttering their locations or close completely, JOANN Fabrics is joining Big Lots and Party City.
