After Years Of Going Out of Business Amarillo’s Judy’s Card Cottage is Finally Closed – Or Is It?
Amarillo has had many great stores over the years, however, one we have never gotten to truly miss has been going out of business for an eternity.

Judy's Card Cottage
Judy's has been going out of business for almost 5 years now, some say 20, some say 7. However, they have been going out of business for a very long time and it looks like they are finally closed.
The first going of business posted on social media in December 2019
They were still promoting closing in January 2020
Then right before the whole county shutdown because of COVID they were still promoting the closing on March 16, 2020
COVID wouldn't shut down their party even though they were closing the store.
Most people who were planning on closing their store would have just closed after COVID and closed that chapter, but not Judy's. They continued their closing sale well past 2020.
As of November 2020, they were still open and selling team banners/flags. Just look at the store closing banner in the video.
One mention of closeout and selling the fixtures came in July 2021. However, the store closing banner on the store has been up the whole time.
Then again in July 2022
They were in their final days back in August 2022
However, on September 3, 2023, they were still closing the store and still in their final days
December 8, 2023, they were still in their last 2 days
It looks like this time the final days were correct. Judy's Card Cottage has finally closed its doors. Or have they?
It's possible they stayed open and went out of business for those long 4 years to finish out a lease or to sell every last product that was in the store.
We wish them all the best. Amarillo has one less party store option and one less local business.
