The headhunter from the African jungles, Kamala "The Ugandan Giant" was one of wrestling's most terrifying wrestlers during the late 1980s and most of the '90s. Children would cower behind their parents when his music would first hit.

He was 6'7" and 380 pounds. He was barefooted and wore white face paint with a leopard-skin loincloth. He took the walk down the aisles of many legendary wrestling venues such as Madison Square Garden. He wrestled legends like Jake The Snake Roberts, Hulk Hogan, Andre The Giant and even The Undertaker as well as many other old school powerhouses of the WWE.

Diagnosed with diabetes in 1992 he blew off the doctors advice about taking care of himself. After a 30 year career in professional wrestling and having diabetes, he has now lost both of his legs due to complications with his diabetes.

He doesn't dwell on things that went wrong in the past or let his current situation ruin what the future may hold. It didn't rob him of who he is because he is still Kamala. He has wrestled the top wrestlers in the world and brought in big money.

I think he deserves to be in the WWE Hall Of Fame. He used to say he didn't care about the Hall of Fame, but now he's changed his attitude. "If they call," he says, "I'm coming."

Wrestling fans have also set up a website to help support him following his recent hospitalization.
