Our local McDonald's goes above and beyond when it comes to taking care of our local charities.

When the pandemic hit, it took a major toll on Amarillo charities.    Charities were not able to hold fundraising events, donors slowed down on their giving or chose to give to charities that were helping with food and medical because that is what was needed at the time.

McDonald's stepped up and decided to help make a difference with McDonald's Gives Back Day.  Since March of 2020 they have, with the help of you, raised over $35,000 for local charities.  They aren't stopping either.

Coming up on Tuesday, January 25th, McDonald's Gives Back Day will be helping out the Amarillo Wesley Community Center.  A portion of all sales at participating McDonald’s locations in Amarillo and Canyon will go directly to the Wesley Community Center.

How can I help?

The best way you can help, is plan on stopping at McDonald's on January 25th and having a meal.  Heck, you could have breakfast, lunch and dinner on this day and be a triple threat of giving!

Egg McMuffin or McGriddle for breakfast, a Big Mac for lunch, and Chicken Nuggets for dinner.

Your kids will love you!

What does the Wesley Community Center do?

The Wesley Community Center is a huge part of Amarillo.  They offer counseling.  They also have a great children's program which offers child care, after school care and summer camps.  For the older children and teenagers, they have Modeling and Mentoring, and the Wesley Wrestling Club.  Not only do they have programs for children they have a whole program for Senior Citizens.  Those are just a few of the things they do.

“The Wesley Community Center’s mission is to maximize individual potential and community empowerment,” explains McDonald’s Director of Marketing Brandon Clavel. “Through our Gives Back promotion, McDonald’s is also focusing on community empowerment, so we felt this was a perfect fit.”

Don't worry about coming up with dinner on Tuesday, January 25th, just stop by McDonald's and treat the family while you're treating the Amarillo Wesley Community Center.
