The Amarillo Naked Guy: Real-Life GTA in the Wrong City?

However, on a mild day in December a few years ago (it was still cold), a man took a stroll naked on the downtown streets of Amarillo.

Although he was minding his own business, walking around Amarillo in your birthday suit is illegal, no matter how you cut it. It's not clear what happened to the Amarillo naked guy. I'm sure he eventually found some clothes, or did he?

A Naked Guy Steals a Car

We ran across a video showing a naked man running around the corner into the street, where he came up to a black car and jumped over a man in the driver's seat into the passenger seat. Then he squeezes his naked body into the driver's seat while pushing the driver out of the car.

A few punches are thrown, and then the naked guy backs the car up knocking the driver down with the driver's side door and causing him to hit the street and roll. He gets up and starts chasing the car as the naked guy drives off in it.

What is going on here?

1. Why is there a random naked guy running around in a downtown area?

I mean it wasn't a cold night and maybe it was a prank.

2. Was that a walk of shame?

It's possible he ticked someone off and they left him naked and afraid in the middle of a downtown area and he needed to get to some clothes.

3. Was he so desperate to escape that area that he had to steal a car?

He was naked, and he looked extremely nervous.  It's possible he was ready to face a car theft charge instead of what he was running from.

4. Is that how cars are easily stolen these days?

A new wave of carjacking may involve the thief being naked to throw off the driver.

5. What would you do if a naked guy came up and stole your car?

Truthfully, you'd probably be so shocked that it would stun you and you couldn't react properly.

6. Was the Naked Guy on drugs?

That would explain a lot.

7. How do you explain that to the police?

You don't explain it very well.  "Naked guy carjacked me"

Let's hope that the Amarillo Naked Guy didn't move to a different city and move onto GTA in the nude.

But really, who was the naked GTA man?
