It's not really summer in the Panhandle until Suds and Sounds rolls around!

Suds and Sounds is an outdoor concert and dance that ends the town of Nazareth's annual German Festival. Nazareth, Texas, was established in the early 20th century by a Catholic priest by the name of Joseph Reisdorf. Ever since, the town has been known for their strong Catholic and German community. This year's festival proceeds will benefit  multiple local charities and organizations.

Here is a list of all the activities you can be a part of in this years Nazareth German Fest and Suds and Sound!

  • 9:30 a.m.: Boy Scout-guided walking tour of Nazareth
  •  9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.: Arts and crafts show
  • 11 a.m.-2 p.m.: German-themed lunch at Nazareth Community Hall tickets
  • 9-11 a.m.: Playa lake tour, meet at Home Mercantile
  • 12:30 p.m.: Finish at Paige’s Garden, German beer and live music stage
  •  1-4 p.m.: Art exhibit by Gary Ward
  •  1-4 p.m.: Car show, Hall parking lot
  • 4 p.m.: Gospel hour at Paige’s Garden
  • 1-5 p.m.: Snack shack (ice cream and soft drinks), senior citizens center
  • 2 p.m.: Flag retirement ceremony in front of City Hall
  • 5:30 p.m.: Barbecue meal at Paige’s Garden
  • 6:30 p.m.: Snow cones and outdoor movie for children
  • 6 p.m.: Suds and Sounds outdoor concert and dance, Nazareth Ballpark

This years headliner is Lubbock country star Zane Williams!

Joining Zane on stage this year is Lee Scheetz, Drake Hayes, Borderline, Texas Tumbleweed Junction, and more!
