Could Amarillo Be Getting Its First Standalone Bath & Body Works Store

One of my favorite places to shop in Amarillo is Bath & Body Works, but I will admit I tend to order online. One of the main reasons is that I don't want to have to walk through the mall just to get to Bath and Body Works. So, I order online and have it in a couple of days.

I always wished we were like other cities, where Bath & Body Works was located in one of the strip shopping centers. One of the things that Lubbock has gotten right is having a Bath & Body Works outside of the mall. I would be all about pulling up and parking, and walking directly to the store. However, for me, the mall is a deterrent.

If you're like me and the thought of going inside the mall keeps you from visiting Bath & Body Works, then I have some great news for you.

What the Permits Say About the New Bath & Body Works

According to the Texas Department of Licensing, Bath & Body Works has filed plans to move into Westgate Village, and the details are worth getting excited about.

Where Exactly Is the New Bath & Body Works Going

The exact address is 2812 S Soncy Road, Space 2810 and 2812. This is the old Merle Norman location with the space right next to it.

When Will the New Amarillo Bath & Body Works Open

They are combining two existing retail spaces to create a space over 2,800 sq ft. Renovations are expected to start July 6 and finish by October 2026, and will cost $250,000. It may be open just in time for the holiday shopping season.

What Happens to Bath & Body Works Inside Westgate Mall

What does this mean for the Bath & Body Works in Westgate Mall? Is the store moving here, or is this a new standalone store? I reached out to BBW to find out more information.

Why This New Location Is a Big Deal for Amarillo Shoppers

This store will be more convenient for many. All I know is I will be shopping in-store more once this new location opens. I will more than likely shop in-store on Bath & Body Works Candle Day or their Semi-Annual Sale, and anytime I feel the urge for a new body spray. This is going to be bad because it will feed my BBW hand soap addiction. Yes, I have a whole cabinet dedicated to BBW hand soap. I can't be the only one excited about a standalone Bath & Body Works.
