Rumor Confirmed Marshalls Is Coming to Amarillo

It’s always great when Amarillo grows, especially when it comes to the shopping scene of the Yellow City. We have so many great stores to shop in, but we could always use more. That's why it's exciting when a rumor about a new store comes in.

Amarillo’s Retail Scene Expands

Back in April, we shared a rumor that a department store was making their way into Amarillo. Although we couldn't get confirmation from the company, we had a feeling it was coming.

Now, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Amarillo is indeed getting a Marshalls. Marshalls is expected to move into the Shops at Soncy at 3220 Soncy Rd. This is the former Joann's Fabrics building.

Construction Timeline and Costs

Construction on the building is expected to begin in January with a completion date of April 4, 2026. That would be a year after we posted about the rumor that it was coming. The estimated cost of the Marshalls project is expected to be $15,000,000.

What Marshalls Brings to Amarillo

Marshalls is popular for its low prices on brand-name apparel, home goods, shoes, and accessories. If you're looking to find great products without spending a ton of money, then Marshalls is the place to shop.

We did reach out to Marshalls' corporate for more information, and they confirmed that Marshalls was indeed coming to Amarillo.
