One person is dead after a helicopter crashed onto a roof of a building in Manhattan on Monday.

According to ABC News, city officials said no one else was injured. The crash is believed to be an accident and there's no indication of terrorism.

ABC News reports the pilot of the helicopter died when the helicopter crashed onto the roof of a Midtown Manhattan building in a hard landing.

The crash started a fire which has now been extinguished.

Though the crash appeared to be an accident, the New York governor said, "If you're a New Yorker, you have a level of PTSD from 9/11 ... So as soon as you hear an aircraft hit a building, I think my mind goes where every New Yorker's mind goes."
