Celebrate the Lunar New Year in Amarillo By Giving Back to the Community
The Lunar New Year is about to start, and there is a way to celebrate in Amarillo.

What is a Lunar New Year?
The Lunar New Year is the start of the lunisolar calendar, which combines the lunar and solar cycles to determine the months and the years. The lunisolar calendar follows a 12-year cycle of animals, and this year is the year of the snake.
The Lunar New Year is on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. This year you can celebrate by stopping by your favorite Panda Express.
They are kicking off the Lunar New Year by helping out a local non-profit in the Amarillo area.
Their local non-profit of choice is The Children's Miracle Network of the High Plains.
Children’s Miracle Network is dedicated to promoting and improving the quality of children’s healthcare.
All money raised for CMN stays local to help local kids in Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle.
How Can I Help Out Children's Miracle Network by Eating at Panda Express?
When you go to Panda Express for the Lunar New Year, you can donate to CMN at the register. You can make a full donation or you can round up to the nearest dollar.
On Wednesday stop into Panda Express and fill up on their delicious food including their original Orange chicken or broccoli beef. They have a huge selection to choose from, like their bowls with chow mein, fried rice, steamed rice, or keep it super healthy with their super greens. You could get a full plate with two choices and one side, or go bigger. Panda Express has a huge selection of entrees perfect for the entire family.
Panda Express has two locations in Amarillo:
- 4710 Coulter
- 2416 S. Georgia
Celebrate the Lunar New Year this Wednesday and help out Children's Miracle Network with Panda Express. If you cannot make it to Panda Express on Lunar New Year, everytime you stop by, you can donate at the register.
