Potter County to Host Town Hall Event: Bringing the Community Together to Meet Local Leaders
Just because you live in a community doesn't mean you have connections. You can live in a community all your life but never know your neighbors, community leaders or even the law enforcement in your area. Everyone should know more about their community.

Potter County thinks it's important for a community to have connections to everything around it and that's where they have come up with a fun, family-friendly event to get to know the people in the community.
It's a chance for residents of Amarillo to meet local leaders, and public officials, and what services are offered in the area. Not to mention finding out what is going on in the area.
Potter County's Community Connections
The event will include guest speakers:
- Blair Schaffer, Potter County Commissioner, Precinct 2
- Georgia Estrada, Potter County Constable, Precinct 2
- Robert Taylor, Potter County Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2
- Les Simpson, Amarillo City Councilman, Place 4
Plus the event will include activities for the entire family
- Interactive Exhibits and Activities:
- Potter County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Vehicle - If you haven't seen the SWAT vehicle yet, here's your chance, it's pretty cool!
- Amarillo Fire Department’s Kids Safety House - This is an experience every kid should experience to learn fire safety. It's even a great learning experience as an adult.
- Amarillo Crime Stoppers offering free Kid ID cards - Such an important safety feature to have for your kids. If you don't have one, make sure you come and get one.
- Displays from Potter County Road & Bridge and Potter County Fire Department
The event will take place on Saturday, January 25th at the Amarillo Tri-State Fair Grounds Commercial Events Building from 10 am - 12 pm.
If you live in Potter County and want to know what's going on and meet your community leaders, then this event is for you. Don't forget to bring the entire family because it'll be lots of fun!
