What is Fourth of July without fireworks? Potter County was about to go another year without being able to pop the big ones.

A partial ban was put in place a few weeks ago by Potter County commissioners, leaving residents thinking that fireworks would still be banned.

The drought that was hovered over most of the Country for the past few years has now shifted and thankfully the Texas Panhandle has received a significant amount of rain.

Due to the high amounts of rainfall officials have decided to lift the partial ban. So go ahead and have some fun with the family this Fourth of July but still be cautious and be safe. Fire are still a risk, especially since no has or will be in sight for a while with temperatures reaching the 100's all week long.
