PowerBall Jackpot Raises To Over $400 Million

Thousands of people are flocking to the convenience store to buy a Power Ball ticket today.  That is probably because the jackpot has reached over $400 Million!

The lottery has been around for as long as I can remember but I rarely ever buy a ticket.  As a matter of fact I don't think I know anyone who has bought a lottery ticket, other than a scratch off, on a regular basis.

But that might change today.  The Power Ball jackpot is up to $485 Million!  That is the 3rd highest a Power Ball has ever gotten and the 5th largest in lotto history.  That is a lot of money.  So much so that it is actually getting people out to buy tickets.

The chances of winning are actually really slim, like 1 in 175 million.  It doesn't matter, though.  The thought of winning that much money is getting people excited.  They are even starting pools with family, friend and co-workers.
