Some nice folks welcomed 20 service men and women to the Rick Husband International Airport on Wednesday. All 20 of the soldiers were wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan.

They came to Amarillo for the 2nd Annual W100 Wounded Warrior Bike Tour at Palo Duro Canyon. An event to raise awareness for what these soldiers sacrificed when they defended this country.

They will be joined by former President George W. Bush on Thursday to kick off this 3-day event. They will be riding on a closed course while the rest of the park will remain open.

The secret service has been visiting the park in recent weeks to make sure it will be safe for the former President and observing the trails. They will be joined by park police in hopes the event goes well while bringing nation-wide attention to the park.
