Criminals never stop and they will continue to do anything to get your hard-earned money.  Most of the time they use fear to try to scam you out of large amounts of cash.

Always be aware and don't fall for these crazy scams.  If you have older and elderly people in your family who might be easily tricked, share with them about these new scams hitting the area.

The latest scam is out of Randall County.

The scam involves criminals posing as employees of the Randall County Sheriff's Office.  One of the employees they are pretending to be is Sheriff Christopher Forbis.

The callers will get you on the phone and request you pay $3,000.  They claim that you or a loved one has a federal warrant and $3,000 is what it would cost to resolve the warrant.

No one from the Randall County Sheriff's Office will contact you asking for money to resolve a warrant.

Don't be Fooled!

Many of these scammers know how to be very convincing and know what to say to put fear in you, to try to get your money.   If you receive a phone call like this, it is best to just hang up the phone.  If you are concerned about the call or having a warrant, you can always call the Randall County Sheriff's Office, at 806-468-5800.

The holiday season it getting ready to gear up which means, that more and more scammers will be trying their hardest to scam you out of your money.  Don't let them win!
