If you are looking for something fun and creative to do with friends, a date or even the family.   There is a new place in town that is perfect.   Plus, it might even help you get rid of some frustration you've been holding.

Amarillo has a new axe throwing venue.  It's called Copper Axe Company and it's a place to go to throw axes.

If you have never had a chance to throw axes, you are missing out on a lot of fun.  But don't let it fool you it's not as easy as it looks.  In fact, its very awkward at first until you get the hang of it, but once you do, you'll fall in love with it.  Either way you'll have a ton of fun.  When it comes to throwing the axe, you can throw one or two handed. I was better with both my hands than just one.

It's a lot like darts, but with axes.  The one with the highest score wins.   I believe the highest score one can get is 64.   On the 10th throw of the game if you hit the blue dots, those are worth 10 points.

To tell you the truth, the first and only time I threw axes, we didn't keep score because we were having so much fun getting the hang of it.  I'm excited that Amarillo has a place like this and I cannot wait to give it a try.

If you're worried your kiddos are too young to throw axes, they have a special area for them.

Like I mentioned earlier, this is the perfect place to hang out with your friends, a great place to have a date, and enjoy a good time with laughs, fun and axes.

Cooper Axe Company is located at 6801 Bell St.
You can rent a lane for 90 minutes and the cost is $35 per person.
