Special Needs Kids Make Music Video To Ask Bruno Mars To Prom [VIDEO]
We have all heard the Bruno Mars hit, 'Uptown Funk.' Well, a group in New Jersey decided to recreate the music video and change the lyrics to invite the Popstar to their prom.
We've seen many people use social media to invite celebrities to their proms, but this invitation is a little different. Members of a New Jersey special needs nonprofit organization have made it their mission to get Bruno Mars to come to their annual prom.
Fantastic Friends was created by Marissa Hacker and her autistic brother when she was just 15 years old. This organization has been her passion. Every year, they have a themed prom and this year the theme is focused around Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson's Uptown Funk.
Hacker said that she would love for Bruno Mars to come and perform for these awesome kids. She also said this about the singer:
“Bruno is such a loving and passionate person, which emanates through the energy in his music. Having him at the prom will create such a magical and beautiful night for our hundreds of members with special needs and volunteers. His attendance will give a party of a lifetime for people with special needs and also increase awareness for making our world a more inclusive and accommodating place.”
Here is their video invitation.
