Spooky season is upon us in Amarillo, and if you are into all things spooky this month, you are going to want to mark your calendars for this awesome event, especially if you like scary, spooky movies.

History of Horror Films

People have had an obsession with horror ever since the first horror movie came out in France in 1896.  It was just 3 minutes long and was named Le Manoir du Diable. The film was called The Haunted Castle for the US release.

Then came Nosferatu, and on and on.

My First Horror Movie Experience

The first horror movie I ever saw was A Nightmare on Elm Street at a very young age.  I had cousins who were bad influences.  I was hooked on Freddy Krueger from that moment on.  However, the one movie that scared me to the core and still does to this day was The Strangers.
