Ace Hardware Returns to Amarillo With a New Look and Location

When one door closes, another one opens, is the proper sentiment for this Amarillo store. ACE Hardware has been a staple of Amarillo for decades.  When it disappeared from Western Street, it left folks asking what happened.  Although that change happened, something new is coming from it.

Summit Ace Hardware is Now Open in Amarillo

A new ACE Hardware franchise has opened in Amarillo with a bigger location, and they are ready to celebrate their grand opening.

Where Is the New Ace Hardware Located?

The Summit ACE Hardware is located in the Summit Shopping Center at 7400 SW 34th Ave. They are in the former Natural Grocers location.

This isn't the same ACE Hardware; it's a brand-new store with brand-new owners.  Megan Hamilton, the new owner, shared that they are really focusing on great customer service.

What’s Inside the New Summit Ace Hardware?

The new store will also focus on lawn and garden, with a great selection of mowers and trimmers. They also have an outstanding paint department.

Plus, they have an awesome selection for the ladies with all types of girly stuff, including Tyler candles and Rowe Casa. They also have a fun selection of food products.  including fun and quirky sodas, like Alien Snot.

I’ve been blown away by how friendly and wonderful and lovely everyone has been.  It’s been cool seeing the community show up.

When Is the ACE Hardware Grand Opening Celebration?

Although the new ACE Hardware has quietly opened, they are going to have a Grand Opening Celebration in September.

The Grand Opening is Friday, September 5 - Sunday, September 7.

What to Expect at the ACE Hardware Grand Opening Weekend

• Friday, September 5th - Official Ribbon Cutting with the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce, but there will be chainsaws involved!
• Saturday, September 6th - A chainsaw carver will be at the store showcasing their beautiful work.
• Plus, all sorts of reps will be on hand from Milwaukee, Benjamin Moore Paint, and additional grilling reps. They are bringing giveaways and good deals.

Just a heads up, if you had a charge account with the former ACE Hardware, it is no longer valid, and you'll need to set one up with the new ACE Hardware.
