Tee Off In The Annual Armed Forces Golf OPS Tournament
It's time to get your golf clubs out of storage and hit the links at this year's 13th annual Armed Forces Golf OPS Tournament. The yearly fundraiser returns to the Palo Duro Creek Golf Course on Saturday, July 13th, presented by The Roan Creek Marine Corps League. Not only will you get to enjoy a day on the greens, but you will be helping out some great efforts here in the panhandle, including funding for the Veteran's Day Parade, JROTC scholarships, and the Panhandle Veterans Financial Assistance Program.
Registration is open now and walk-ups are welcome the day of the tournament. It's only $75 per player and this is a 2 man scramble. There will be a shotgun start, 2 putt rule on greens, and a hole in one prize on every par 3 hole. To sign up, call Michael Westbrook at (806) 236-6777. This event is open to both military and non-military members, all are welcome!
