Texans Start Your Engines: Texas Gas Prices Hit Year Low
Let's face it gas is something that must be purchased if you want to travel to and from your home in Texas.
Gas prices are inevitably going to skyrocket and we are all struggling to budget or cut things out because we have to have gas for our vehicles to get back and forth to work or school.
Now that we are in the holidays, we are all feeling the crunch and most of us are unable to spend a lot on gifts this year because the price of everything is up and most people are now living paycheck to paycheck. As the prices of everything keep going up, most companies are not compensating workers for the cost of living either.
GOOD NEWS: Gas prices in Texas Continue to Drop!
Luckily this is one thing we can all look forward to this month. According to AAA Texas, the average gas price in Texas is $2.68 per gallon for regular unleaded. It's 7 cents less than last week and 10 cents less than it was last year at this time.
Even though a few Texas cities are paying higher prices, none of them come close to the National average which is $3.20 per gallon.
Texas currently has the lowest gas price in the nation.
Why are Gas Prices Low?
According to Daniel Armbruster with AAA Texas,
"Lower crude oil prices are anticipated to translate into continued relief for consumers at the gas pump throughout December.”
That's good news for everyone traveling this holiday season. Cheaper gas prices mean you can spend more on something else, like a really cool Christmas present for the family or yourself.
