Texas Motor SpeedWay Is Ready To Launch Big Hoss TV
Panasonic is to create what the company plans on being the largest high-definition video board in the world. The video board isn't meant for football or baseball, but for NASCAR. It will add to the already fast growing list of big video boards here in Texas.
Texas Motor Speedway announced Monday night that the racetrack has partnered with Panasonic to make a 21,000 square feet HD video board a reality. 218 feet long and 94.6 feet wide, which also will stretch nearly 12 stories high in the air. The Video board will sit on the backstretch of the speedway.
TMS officials say it will be ready in time for the first NASCAR Sprint Cup weekend in April 2014. Once completed it will be larger than the video board at Charlotte Motor Speedway (16,000 square feet). Everything is bigger in Texas, so TMS has already nicknamed the HDTV screen "Big Hoss TV." Plus the speedway is upgrading the WIFI services around the track for next year.
