Thanksgiving is a great holiday.  For one it's a holiday where one of the main goals is to stuff yourself silly. On this day, you are encouraged to overeat, wait a few hours, then overeat again at another gathering, and finally indulge in all the concoctions made from leftovers. Of course, Thanksgiving is a day to give thanks.

We give thanks for the pilgrims landing and starting this great country we live in because, no matter its faults, it is one of the greatest nations in the world. It's a day to be thankful for all the blessings we have received over the last year.   It is also a day to be thankful for our friends, family, and those we choose to surround ourselves with in our world. Oh, and it's a day to watch football and nap all afternoon.

With all that said, we know why we celebrate Thanksgiving, but here are some facts about Turkey Day you might not know.
