If you're looking for some free fun this summer, then this is for you.

There are free WOW passes to Wonderland Amusement Park up for grabs...and you can help the community while grabbing one for yourself.

Blood donations are needed desperately in Amarillo, and you can help. COVID-19 really depleted the blood supply in the city, and now blood donation centers are asking for our help.

Donating blood is super easy, doesn't hurt and will save lives. Think about that for just a second, a little bit of your blood will allow someone to continue their life. To me, that's the best thing anyone could give to me, knowing I helped someone get better.

However, Coffee Memorial Blood Center has sweetened the pot for us. Between now and July 31st, if you make an appointment and donate blood, they will get you all hooked up with a free WOW pass from Wonderland Amusement Park to go celebrate the good deed you did!

All blood types are needed, some more than others. However, your blood will not go to waste so please, consider donating and saving some lives. You can find a donation center close to you and make an appointment by going here.

Save a few lives, ride some rollercoasters, eat a funnel cake and help the community. All things that make me happy at the end of the day. Remember, you only have until July 31st to get the free WOW pass, so act quick and don't miss out!

The Abandoned St. Anthony's Hospital on Amarillo Boulevard

The 119-year-old abandoned hospital is a fascinating place for any who are lucky enough to be granted the chance to explore.

The sprawling building saw thousands of Amarillo's citizens inside its halls daily, all the the way until it was shuttered in 2001. But there are still incredible artifacts of the all-too-recent past tucked away in the nooks and crannies of the old St. Anthony.

The explorer who took these photographs gave the following information:

"Many rooms were left untouched, we found patient files, old prescriptions, a blood transfusion machine from the 60s, and microscopic slides of breast cancer from the 70s and 80s. I put one picture in here of some heart scans so you can see the dates and diagnosis of the patient, but marked out the patient’s names of course. During a time when mental illness was not understood, 76 exorcisms were documented to have been performed between 1909 and 1931."
