AHS vs. THS. Who do you want to win!?

For as long as you can probably remember, Amarillo High School and Tascosa High have been bitter rivals. But the peak of the rivalry always comes once a year, when the two teams square off on the football field. In Amarillo, it's called "Hell Week," or "Spirit Week" by the schools and parents.

They call it Hell Week because traditionally, students from opposing schools would pull crazy pranks on each other that often resulted in property damage. In fact, it's said that an entire baseball field caught on fire because of a Hell Week prank.

However, these days, students are prohibited from even setting foot on the other school's property. Instead, they are encouraged to share their spirit for their own school.

So in the spirit of friendly competition, who do you think is going to win the game tonight?

The Amarillo High Sandies and the Tascosa Rebels will go head to head tonight, September 9th, at Dick Bivins Stadium. Kick off is at 7:00 p.m! If you can't make it tonight, don't forget you can catch game coverage on News Talk 940 KIXZ starting 20 minutes before kick-off.
