One of the 10 Youngest Billionaires in the US is from Texas
For most of us, the thought of one billion dollars is unimaginable. What would anyone do with a billion dollars? Make more money?
Even though most of us cannot imagine having that kind of bank, there are people all over the world who are billionaires. However, one would think it isn't someone young. When you think of disgustingly rich people, you think of Mr. Burns or Scrooge McDuck (ok, that's enough watching cartoons). Old men smoking cigars come to mind.
That is farther from the truth, in fact, Stacker recently released a list of the Top 10 Youngest Billionaires in the US.
On that list, of course, you will find Facebook/Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg.
At the age of 39 Zuckerburg is worth $106 billion. He is even one of the top 10 people in the whole world.
Others you will find on the list are Airbnb founders, Joe Gebbia, who is not from Texas but currently lives in Austin ($8.9B), Nathan Blecharczyk ($9.5B), and Brian Chesky ($10B).
With all the land, oil, and ranches in Texas you would expect a Texan to be on the list of billionaires, however is only reserved for the older Texans. No, it is not.
Texan Scott Duncan makes the list
Scott Duncan is one of the heirs of Enterprize Products, an oil and gas pipeline business. Scott along with his three siblings inherited the business from their father Dan Duncan. Scott is currently worth $7.4 billion. According to Success Story, Scott originally inherited $3.1B. The year he inherited the money was the year that the government removed the estate tax.
Keep working, and who knows, you may be the next Texas on the Top 10 Billionaires in the US.
