A Canyon Pastor Was Arrested On A Prostitution Charge
It is always sad when a trusted individual is arrested on shocking charges. A Canyon church pastor was arrested on prostitution charges.
A pastor for Hillside Christian Church was arrested yesterday on a prostitution charge. Cameron Reeves, 34, worked as a campus church pastor in Canyon. And Thursday, he was booked into the Potter County jail.
Reeves was arrested at the Motel 6 at 2032 Paramount Blvd. in Amarillo. He is was booked on a misdemeanor charge and released on a $1,000 bond.
Reeves has not said anything, but according to ProNew 7, Hillside Christian Church released the following statement:
"On Oct. 23, Cameron Reeves resigned as the campus pastor at Hillside Christian Church, effective immediately. We are saddened by this situation. We ask the community to pray for Cameron, his family, and all who are affected during this difficult time," the statement read.
It is always heartbreaking when something like this happens. I did not know Reeves, but I do know that sometimes good people sometimes make a bad decision. Hopefully, he and his family can get through this. My prayers are certainly with him.
