Amarillo Buildings That Seem to Be Cursed – 4602 SW 45th Ave
It's time for another round of Amarillo Cursed Buildings. Last time, we looked at the little garage-turned-restaurant on 6th Street. This time we embark on southwest Amarillo.
When I say cursed, I don't mean haunted, or somebody put a hex on the building, I just mean, the building seems to have so many businesses open and close.
Today we are looking at the current home for Oscar's Burritos, 4602 SW 45th Ave, which unfortunately closed it's doors recently. I'm so sad, their burritos were the bomb!
So what all has this building been. Let's head back to 2007.
2007
I can't even remember what the heck this building was in 2007. That could be because I had just had my first baby and my brain was mommy focused, but here this is what it looked like.
2009 - 2012
I loved having Biti Pies in the neighborhood, it became a Friday tradition for me and my son to stop and get a little pie, which my son referred to as, "it's my size mommy" This was back in the day when Biti Pies was just getting off the ground and this was another site where people could come and get their deliciousness.
Oh and if you were ever wondering how they were made, here ya go:
2012
Biti Pies moved on and In and Out took over. In and Out was a place where you could run by and grab a drink or some smokes. I don't ever remember stopping there to grab and go. It was in this location for awhile.
March 2017 - Jun3 2017
Drive By Pizza Pie was a pizza place to where you could order and pick up. I heard nothing but good things about this place, but unfortunately, it did not last.
July 2017- February 2022/March 2022 - September 2022
Finally Oscar's opened here and yes, I visited Oscar's many, many times over the last few years for the greatest breakfast burritos, and even delicious lunch burritos. Oscar's has seen many locations, but this may be it's final resting spot. They closed the restaurant in February. I can't help but hope that the temporarily closed on Google means just that temporary.
What other businesses have occupied this building?
