Amarillo Buildings That Seem To Be Cursed – 715 S. Polk
When you think about Downtown Amarillo, you think of the great history of our great city. Many businesses have come and gone. But some buildings just seem cursed.
Polk Street is a great place to spend an evening. However, over the years, Polk Street has seen many businesses come and go. One of these buildings is at 715 S. Polk. It has been many things over the years, mainly bars, but it seems as soon as one moves in, it moves right out.
So what all has been in there? Let's take a look back at 715 S. Polk.
This building was originally built in 1915, it was known as The Hollywood.
In early 2000 this location used to be Brewster's Pub. I remember the year of the infamous halftime performance where the world saw Janet Jackson's bare breast on TV. I was out with the radio station on a live remote at Brewster's Pub. It was a fun time.
