Look Out Cannes, Amarillo Is Hosting Its First Film Festival
As Amarillo continues to grow, so does the event the city has to offer. Amarillo has had quite a few TV shows and movies filmed in the area and we even have our own film studio. So why wouldn't we embrace the world of film.
That's exactly what is happening. Amarillo will now have a film festival to add to its list of events.
Amarillo International Film Festival
The first-ever Amarillo International Film Festival will take place October 10 -12th at the Arts in the Sunset.
Thirty-six different films will be shown during the film festival. This will include narrative and documentary features. The festival will also feature student, narrative and documentary shorts. Those in attendance can enjoy 15 hours of screen time.
Where are the Filmmakers From?
These filmmakers come from all over the world including Haiti, Mexico, Peru, Spain and the UK. Plus, talented filmmakers from California, Colorado, New York, and Utah. Plus, the Lonestar state will be represented as well, with filmmakers from here in Amarillo, Austin, Dallas, El Paso, Houston, Huntsville, San Antonio, Seabrook Shallowater, and Weslaco.
