Amazon looking to bring a Warehouse to Amarillo

It looks like Amarillo may soon be getting an Amazon warehouse. the new 1 million Square foot,110 acre facility is going up in the northeast area of town at 24th and lakeside near the Centerpoint Business Park and Loop 335.

The warehouse can be a potential boost to the local economy, Amazon is known to offer full time shifts along with benefits and competitive pay. Not to mention some of the benefits of having a Distribution Center here in town like "Prime" services

Amazon and two local groups ET Amarillo LLC, Happy Horizons have filed for a $100 Million dollar Tax Abatement from the City of Amarillo. The Abatement is summed up as $70 Million in Property and 30 Million in Plant and Equipment. City officials plan on voting on the tax package January 26th.
